Шведская телекоммуникационная фирма Ericsson успешно провела испытания, на которых достигла скорость в 5 Гбит - впечатляющий результат для будущего мобильного интернета.
Тест проводился в диапазоне частот 15 GHz, что дает сетевым провайдерам возможность перейти на 5G в течение следующего десятилетия.
"На более высоких скоростях, более низкий уровень задержки, это дает нам рост производительности в очень плотных областях. Технология 5G совершит революцию в услугах связи" - говорит PR отдел Ericsson.
"Технология 5G находится все еще на ранней стадии разработки и спектр частот может быть еще пересмотрен, но удачные тесты Ericsson, отражает технологическое лидерство компании".
Отчет компании говорит нам о том, что к 2019 году доля технологии 4G будет занимать 85 % рынка, и к 2020 году мы сможем увидеть сеть 5G в таких странах как США, Японии и Южной Кореи.
Сетевые провайдеры SK Telecom из Южной Кореи, NTT DoCoMo из Японии уже подписались на испытания технологии 5G что позволит им как можно быстрее предоставить доступ к высокоскоростному интернету для мобильных устройств.
В России лидером связи 4G остается Yota, но даже она покрывает лишь мизерную часть нашей родины. Еще в Москве не везде работает 3G связь, поэтому технология 5G в ближайшие 10-15 лет для нас будет звучать как сказка.
